Who We Are
Spendless2givemore is Cumberland Community Church’s way to be generous and help people to direct their giving to people that need our resources at Christmas time the most. Every Christmas for the last 10+ years, we have asked our partners in the developing world for ways to come alongside them and help expand their mission and goals.
We initially did this with Glory Outreach Assembly in Kenya. In the past 10+ years, through SpendLess2GiveMore and other generous gifts, we have invested over a million dollars to what is on God’s heart in Kenya. SpendLess has expanded its reach now to give to our partners in Greece, India, and Ecuador. Please join in loving the least of these around the world.
You may say, what is on God’s heart? Jesus said in Matthew 25:35-36:
“Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ We are blessed by our Father and we are directed to give it away to those less fortunate.”
Proximity and Partners Matter
We have discovered over the years that the best use of funds is directed through local churches that are in nearest proximity to the need. Some of the greatest needs are in obscure and isolated areas of Kenya, India, Ecuador, and Greece. The strategy is to train up young men and women and send them to start a church in these unreached areas.
One of the best ways to enter these regions is by offering education to the people who have never had the opportunity for education and food to the starving. This year, SpendLess2GiveMore will raise funds to build schools and develop small schools. We will invest in wonderful young men and women who will sacrifice all to go to these remote areas through biblical and leadership training. In Kenya, we have started two Adult Literacy Centers, and we need to see two more started. In India, there are plans to start more skill training centers for women and to see thousands of churches started in Northern India where the gospel has never been taken. To see this happen, we encourage you to find all the ways that you can give.
Do this as a family, and decide together how to use what God has blessed you with to help reach a world and provide love to the poorest of the poor. It could be sponsoring a church planter, buying books, supplying food, or helping to build the next adult literacy center.

Our History
Through your generosity, Spendless2givemore has helped over 350 orphans become fully sponsored in India and Kenya. Many have gone onto trade schools and university to become productive citizens. A home for children with HIV/AIDS are healthy and strong today because of your generosity. In the slums of India and Kenya, Spendless has helped to diminish hunger and homelessness. Children in Mathare slum and the slums of Kolkata are being educated for the first time, and day care centers have started so parents can go to work and make a living for their children without fear of their children being abused and left hungry. Your generosity has and continues to supply food and shelter for the massive number of refugees entering Europe through Greece.
Hellenic Ministries in Greece have been blessed to have resources to love the Roma community that is so ostracized in Athens. Roma children are being loved and educated for the first time. On the island of Crete, our missionaries Ilias and Nellie have had the funds to open a coffee shop and laundry facilities during the week and church on Sunday.
Spendless has helped a children’s home in Kolcutta, and sustainability projects have been started for the poorest of poor women in the worst slums of the world. Today, men, women, and children are thriving because of the gifts received through our annual Spendless2givemore campaign.

They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.”
